Founded in 1990 in Greifswald on the German Baltic coast, and now the centre of a group that includes Dehler, Moody, Fjord and Sealine. It specialises in cruising monohulls built around a self-tacking jib. Every Hanse on Adriavela is a sail boat.
Adriavela lists 231 Hanse boats. They cover 36 separate models, the largest groups being Hanse 458 (39), Hanse 418 (34) and Hanse 508 (26). Lengths run from 9.5 to 19.2 metres. Accommodation runs to 2 to 6 cabins and 4 to 12 berths. Build years run from 2004 to 2026.
They are spread across 15 countries, the largest group of them - 114 boats - in Greece. Prices start at €120 a day on a 7-day charter, across the 221 boats that carry a published rate; the rest are quoted on request. A monohull of this size takes a full crew and still handles like a sailing boat, which is what most skippered weeks on this coast are booked for.
