Procida is the smallest of the Bay of Naples islands and one of its charter bases: Marina di Procida in the Chiaiolella bay on the south side holds a fleet of sailing yachts and catamarans, an hour from Naples by ferry, with Ischia across a channel, Capri and the Amalfi coast a day away and the whole bay to cruise.
Getting there
By air. Naples Airport (NAP) is about 20 km from the port of Pozzuoli, then a 40-minute ferry or 20-minute hydrofoil to Procida; the marina is 3 km across the island by taxi or bus. By ferry. Ferries and hydrofoils from Naples Molo Beverello and Pozzuoli land at Marina Grande.
Procida before you cast off
Marina Corricella, the pastel fishing harbour under the Terra Murata citadel, is the image of the island and a twenty-minute walk from the marina; Chiaiolella has the beaches and the islet of Vivara. Naples, Pompeii and Vesuvius are across the bay.

Sunday — Procida → Ischia (6 nm). Round to Ischia: the harbour at Ischia Porto or the castle bay of Ischia Ponte.
Monday — Ischia → Capri (18 nm). South across the bay to Capri: buoys at Marina Grande or an anchorage off the Faraglioni in calm weather.
Tuesday — Capri → Positano (10 nm). The Amalfi coast: buoys off Positano and the town by tender.
