Las Galletas is a fishing village on the southern tip of Tenerife, ten minutes from Tenerife South airport, and Marina del Sur on its harbour is a charter base for the western Canaries: La Gomera is three hours across the strait, the Los Gigantes cliffs and the whale-watching grounds an afternoon, La Palma and El Hierro for a longer week. By air. Tenerife South Airport (TFS) is about 8 km — ten minutes by taxi, with direct flights from across Europe all year. By road. The TF-1 motorway exit Las Galletas; paid parking at the marina.

The village has a small beach and a promenade of fish restaurants; Los Cristianos and the resorts are 10 minutes away; Teide and its national park an hour and a half up the mountain.
