Côte d'Azur — at a glance
46 boats are available to book on the Côte d'Azur from 7 bases; the largest are Les Marines de Cogolin (19), Port Grimaud (19), IGY Vieux-Port de Cannes (3). The fleet is 27 catamarans, 12 sailing boats, 4 motor yachts and 3 motor boats. The most common models are Bali 4.2 (2), Arno Leopard 27 (2), Lucia 40 (2), Elba 45 (2), Samana 59 (2) — 40 models in all. Built 1998–2026, 9.5–26.9 m long, 1–6 cabins, up to 11 guests. Day rates start from €214; the typical boat here is around €582 per day, and every price on this page is the boat’s own listed rate before extras.
The Gulf of Saint-Tropez is the sailing end of the Riviera and the Estérel coast east of it the scenic one. Cogolin and Grimaud, at the head of the gulf, hold the charter fleet; Cannes, Golfe-Juan and Antibes work the day-charter market along the bay of Cannes, and Menton sits at the Italian border.
The gulf is calm summer water and the mistral is the only weather worth planning around. Saint-Tropez is across it, Port-Cros and Porquerolles a day west, the Estérel and Cannes a day east, and Monaco a long day.
June and September are the months to come: warm sea, space in the harbours and the same boat materially cheaper than in July and August. Avoid the event weeks, when berths are unobtainable — the Cannes film festival in May, the Monaco Grand Prix, and the Cannes and Monaco yacht shows in September.

Getting there
By air. Toulon-Hyères (TLN) is about 50 km from the Gulf of Saint-Tropez, an hour by taxi. Nice (NCE) is about 105-110 km from the gulf and the nearest airport to Cannes, Antibes and Menton. By rail. Saint-Raphaël is the station for the gulf, 40 minutes from the bases; Cannes, Antibes and Menton are on the coast line from Nice. By road. The A8 runs the length of the coast; the gulf is reached from the A8 at Le Muy.
Côte d'Azur before you cast off
Saint-Tropez's port, the Place des Lices market and the citadel, 15 minutes across the gulf from the bases; Port Grimaud, the 1960s lakeside town of canals and bridges, which is itself one of the bases; the hill villages of Grimaud, Gassin and Ramatuelle; the Îles de Lérins off Cannes; the red rock of the Estérel between Saint-Raphaël and Cannes; and the Îles d'Hyères a day to the west.
The marinas at Cogolin, Port Grimaud, Cannes and Antibes all have chandlers, supermarkets and provisioning services that will deliver to the boat. Saint-Tropez has the market on the Place des Lices on Tuesdays and Saturdays.

What a charter on the Côte d'Azur actually costs
Adriavela lists 46 boats leaving from Côte d'Azur. What separates one price from another is the type of boat, its size, and the base it leaves from — not the month you go.
The average week is €7,841 and the cheapest boat on the list is €1,500. Figures are list prices for a 7-night bareboat charter, refreshed nightly; the exact total for your dates is confirmed on the boat’s own page before you book.

Frequently asked questions
How much does a yacht charter in Côte d'Azur cost?
Day rates on the boats listed here start from €214 and the typical boat is around €582 per day; a week (7 nights) starts from €1,500. Prices are the boats’ own listed rates; fuel, marina fees on the route and local taxes are paid separately.
What kinds of boats can I charter in Côte d'Azur?
46 boats are available to book in Côte d'Azur: 27 catamarans, 12 sailing boats, 4 motor yachts and 3 motor boats. The most common models are Bali 4.2, Arno Leopard 27, Lucia 40, Elba 45.
Which marinas do charters leave from in Côte d'Azur?
Charters in Côte d'Azur leave from 7 bases: Les Marines de Cogolin (19 boats), Port Grimaud (19 boats), IGY Vieux-Port de Cannes (3 boats), Port Pierre Canto (2 boats), Antibes (1 boat).
Can I take a boat out for just one day?
Yes — 11 boats here accept a single-day booking. A day rate is quoted for the specific boat and date, so pick your day on the boat’s own page and the price comes back live.
What is not in the price?
The figure is for the boat. Transit log, tourist tax and the APA are mandatory, set per boat, and paid at the base. Skipper, hostess, extra equipment and other services are optional and also settled at the base.
Why do some boats show no price?
9 of the 46 boats in Côte d'Azur are on request — usually larger or crewed yachts, where the rate depends on the week and the crew. They are left out of every figure above.
Do I need a licence to charter bareboat in France?
For a sailing yacht or a motorboat over 6 hp, yes: France recognises most national skipper licences, checked at handover. Small boats under 6 hp can be hired without one. Without a licence, a skipper is booked as an extra on the boat page.
What day do charters start?
Weekly charters run Saturday to Saturday: handover in the late afternoon and return to the base the evening before check-out at 9:00. Day charters start in the morning from the same pontoons.
Can we anchor off Saint-Tropez in summer?
Off Pampelonne and the Canebiers bay, yes, in settled weather; the port itself is booked weeks ahead in July and August and berths are expensive. Most charter weeks use the gulf marinas and the island buoys.
