Primošten is a walled village on an islet joined to the mainland, halfway between Šibenik and Trogir, and Marina Kremik in the deep bay behind it is one of the best-protected charter marinas on the coast. From here the Kornati are north, the Šibenik archipelago is outside the bay and the Split islands are south — a base that can go either way.
The marina is quieter than the city bases and the village has beaches, restaurants and the Babić vineyards on the stone terraces behind it. Split Airport is about 45 minutes away.
Getting there
By air. Split Airport (SPU) is about 40 km — 45 minutes by taxi or transfer. By road. Primošten is on the coast road between Trogir and Šibenik; the A1 motorway exit Šibenik is 25 minutes away. Paid parking inside Marina Kremik. By bus. Coaches between Split and Šibenik stop in Primošten; the marina is a short taxi ride.
Primošten before you cast off
The old village is a ten-minute walk of stone lanes rising to the church of St George at the top of the islet, with the beaches of Raduča on the mainland side. The vineyards on the dry-stone terraces inland are the image on the 500-kuna note and the source of the Babić red served in every restaurant on the waterfront.
A supermarket in the village and a shop in the marina; fuel is on the marina dock. Larger shopping in Šibenik or Trogir on the way in.

Frequently asked questions
How much does a yacht charter in Primošten cost?
Day rates on the boats listed here start from €111 and the typical boat is around €557 per day; a week (7 nights) starts from €780. Prices are the boats’ own listed rates; fuel, marina fees on the route and local taxes are paid separately.
What kinds of boats can I charter in Primošten?
116 boats are available to book in Primošten: 59 sailing boats, 31 catamarans, 17 motor yachts and 9 motor boats. The most common models are Dufour Catamaran 48, Dufour 460 Grand Large, Sun Odyssey 490, Lagoon 40.
Can I take a boat out for just one day?
Yes — 4 boats here accept a single-day booking. A day rate is quoted for the specific boat and date, so pick your day on the boat’s own page and the price comes back live.
What is not in the price?
The figure is for the boat. Transit log, tourist tax and the APA are mandatory, set per boat, and paid at the base. Skipper, hostess, extra equipment and other services are optional and also settled at the base.
Why do some boats show no price?
22 of the 116 boats in Primošten are on request — usually larger or crewed yachts, where the rate depends on the week and the crew. They are left out of every figure above.
How far is the airport from Primošten?
The nearest airport is Split Airport (SPU), about 30 km away as the crow flies; Brač Airport (BWK) is about 65 km. Transfer times by road are longer; most charter companies arrange a transfer to the base on request.
Do I need a licence to charter bareboat in Croatia?
Yes. Croatia requires a skipper’s licence recognised by the Croatian authorities plus a VHF radio certificate; both are checked at the base before departure. Without them, a skipper is booked as an extra on the boat page and joins you at the marina.
What day do charters start?
Weekly charters run Saturday to Saturday. Boats are handed over from 17:00 on Saturday and returned by 9:00 the following Saturday; day charters start in the morning from the same pontoons.
