Getting there
By air. Split Airport (SPU) is about 55 km — one hour by taxi or transfer; Zadar Airport (ZAD) about 70 km, a little over an hour. By road. The A1 motorway exit Šibenik is 15 minutes from the marina; Mandalina has paid parking for the week, reserved through the charter company. By bus. Šibenik bus station is beside the old town, with coaches from Zagreb, Split and Zadar; the marina is a five-minute taxi ride.
Šibenik before you cast off
The cathedral of St James is the reason to walk into town: a stone church built without mortar or wood, with the portrait frieze of citizens around the apse. St Michael’s fortress above the old town has a stage with the channel as a backdrop, and Barone fortress the wider view. The channel itself is worth an evening — the St Nicholas fortress guards its seaward end and can be visited by boat.
Supermarkets are within a short taxi ride of Mandalina and there is a shop in the marina; the green and fish markets are in the old town. Fuel is on the marina’s own dock.
A week from Port of Šibenik
Saturday — Šibenik → Zlarin or Prvić (6 nm). Down the channel past the St Nicholas fortress to the car-free islands just outside: a quay at Zlarin or Prvić Luka for the first night.
Sunday — Prvić → Kaprije / Žirje (10 nm). Out through the archipelago to Kaprije’s bays or the anchorages of Žirje, the outermost island.
Monday — Žirje → Kornati (12 nm). Into the national park from the south: Lavsa, Vrulje or Ravni Žakan with restaurant pontoons and buoys.
Tuesday — Kornati → Telašćica, Dugi Otok (10 nm). North to the Telašćica inlet and its cliffs; a walk to the salt lake, buoys in the bay.
Wednesday — Telašćica → Žut or Murter (14 nm). A day on the quiet side of the Kornati at Žut, or into the Murter channel for a marina and a supermarket.
Thursday — Murter → Primošten (18 nm). South along the mainland to Primošten, a walled village on an islet with a town quay and Marina Kremik behind it.
Friday — Primošten → Šibenik (12 nm). Back up the coast and into the channel; time for a run up to Skradin and the Krka falls if the crew leaves early.

Weekly charters run Saturday to Saturday. Boats are handed over from 17:00 on Saturday and returned by 9:00 the following Saturday; day charters start in the morning from the same pontoons.
Can we sail up to the Krka waterfalls?
Boats go up the Krka as far as Skradin, where there is an ACI marina and a town quay; the falls at Skradinski Buk are a short boat-bus or walk from Skradin. Sailing above Skradin is not allowed in the national park.
