Getting there
By air. Mykonos Airport (JMK) is about 4 km from the town — 10 minutes by taxi to Tourlos or Ornos, with direct summer flights from across Europe. By ferry. Ferries from Piraeus and Rafina land at Tourlos new port, where the charter fleet moors.
Mykonos before you cast off
Mykonos town — Little Venice, the windmills, the Paraportiani church and the lanes of the Chora — is a twenty-minute walk from Tourlos; the Delos sanctuary is a half-hour boat trip from the old harbour and the reason the island exists. Ornos and Psarou are the beaches nearest the southern base.
