Göcek is a village of marinas at the head of the Gulf of Fethiye, twenty minutes from Dalaman airport — the closest charter base to any airport on the Turkish coast — with the twelve islands and the pine-fringed creeks of the gulf directly outside: Tersane, Kapi Creek, Tomb Bay and the Bedri Rahmi bay are all within an hour. Getting there
By air. Dalaman Airport (DLM) is about 25 km — 20–30 minutes by taxi or transfer. By road. The D400 coast road between Dalaman and Fethiye; paid parking at the marinas.
Göcek before you cast off
The village is a waterfront of marinas, cafés and yacht services with the gulf as the view; Fethiye and its Lycian tombs are 30 minutes by road, Dalyan and the Kaunos tombs 45. The gulf itself is the sight.

Sunday — Göcek → Ekincik (20 nm). West along the coast to the bay of Ekincik; the Dalyan river and Kaunos ruins by boat from here.
Monday — Ekincik → Fethiye (25 nm). Back east to Fethiye’s harbour, the bazaar and the Lycian tombs.
Tuesday — Fethiye → Ölüdeniz / Gemiler island (15 nm). Round to the lagoon of Ölüdeniz and the Byzantine ruins on Gemiler island.
Wednesday — Gemiler → Kalkan (25 nm). East along the Lycian coast to the harbour town of Kalkan.
Thursday — Kalkan → Kaş (12 nm). On to Kaş and its marina, with the Greek island of Kastellorizo across the strait.
