Getting there
By air. Pula Airport (PUY) is about 8 km from the city — 15 minutes by taxi to either marina. Trieste and Venice airports are two to three hours by road. By road. The Istrian Y motorway ends at Pula; the marinas are signposted from the city. Parking for the week is inside Marina Veruda or arranged through the charter company. By ferry and bus. Catamarans run from Venice and Zadar in summer; the bus station has coaches from Zagreb, Rijeka, Trieste and Ljubljana.
Pula before you cast off
The amphitheatre is the sixth-largest surviving Roman arena and stands right on the harbour; the temple of Augustus and the triumphal arch are in the old town behind it. The Brijuni national park is a boat trip from Fažana, or a first night’s anchorage for a charter. Rovinj, an hour north, is the prettiest town in Istria for a day before departure.
Supermarkets are close to both marinas and the city market is in the centre; Marina Veruda has a shop, restaurants and a fuel dock. Fuel in the city harbour is at the ACI marina.

Monday — Unije → Mali Lošinj (12 nm). Into Lošinj’s long inlet; the town quay or the marina, and a proper town for the evening.
