Motor boats in Croatia
Motor boats in Croatia are the day-charter fleet: RIBs and open boats from 20 to 35 feet leaving Split, Trogir, Hvar, Dubrovnik, Zadar and Pula for a day among the islands. From Split and Hvar the classic run is the Blue Cave on Biševo, Vis and the Pakleni islands; from Dubrovnik the Elaphiti islands; from Zadar the Kornati. Croatia requires a licence to take even a small motorboat out bareboat, so most day boats go with a skipper, who is usually the owner and knows where the water is flat and the restaurants take boats.
Prices are per day with the skipper and normally without fuel, which is settled at the end from the pump. Larger motor boats and small cabin cruisers are available by the week from the same bases for crews with a licence.
